ATGET THE FRENCH SURREALIST

Artists have long been inspired by Parisian charms. Working in the late 1800s and early 1900's, French photographer Atget was one of the first to document the city in all its glory. From tantalising shop window displays to surreal city scapes, the 200 or so prints showing at the Art Gallery of New South Wales are sure to impress showing the city at a time of rapid change.
